Mammillaria vetula gracilis


Mammillaria vetula subsp. gracilis is a small cactus, up to 5.1 inches (13 cm) long and up to 1.2 inches (3 cm) wide, with slender, cylindrical stems, and 11 to 16 chalky white radial spines, up to 0.3 inch (8 mm) long. Central spines either absent or, if present, are up to 0.5 inch (12 mm) long. The flowers are small, pale yellow, up to 0.7 inch (17 mm) long and up to 0.5 inch (12 mm) wide, with pinkish or brownish mid-stripe.
