eTree’s Imported Bermuda Grass Seeds are designed to grow in BOTH Full Sun as well as in Areas with Dense Shade. They can resist high traffic areas. They are perfect for lawns that endure long periods of scorching heat or drought. The exclusive 4-in-1 WaterSmart PLUS Coating absorbs more water, feeds essential nutrients, and protects seedlings from disease. Planting Guide
The best time to plant Bermuda Grass is late spring, once daily high temperatures are consistently in the 80s. For optimal results, follow these steps:
- Prepare the Soil: Lightly rake the soil to a depth of 2 to 3 inches. Remove any debris and break up soil clumps. Level areas where excess water might collect.
- Sow the Seeds: Use a spreader to evenly distribute approximately 16 seeds per square inch. Avoid overcrowding to prevent seedlings from competing for nutrients.
- Cover the Seeds: Lightly rake the seeds into the soil surface, then firm the soil with a tamper, roller, or garden tractor tires. Aim for a soil cover of no more than ¼ inch.
- Water Regularly: Keep the seed and soil surface moist by watering 3 to 4 times daily, applying about ⅛ inch of water each time.
Lawn Care Tips
Once your lawn is established, reduce watering to twice per week, but water more deeply each time. Aim for an inch or more of water per week to encourage deep rooting. Fertilize your Bermuda Grass lawn with eTree’s MaxGreen Lawn Food every 8 weeks during the growing season.
