HOW TO CARE FOR DANA (DIEFFENBACHIA ‘TROPIC SNOW’)
Dana is happiest in medium light, as too much bright light will scorch her leaves. Try putting her near an east- or west-facing window.
Water her regularly, but allow the top two-three inches of soil to dry out before giving her a shower. To check if she’s thirsty, just stick your finger in the top of her compost; if it comes out dry, then it’s time to give her a drink.
Dana will be happiest an average home temperatures (15-27 degrees) and doesn’t do well in the cold. Keep her away from cool drafts.
Give her a balanced fertiliser every two weeks in summer, and every month in the spring and fall.
Native to the tropics of Central and South America, Dana has long been brightening up homes on this side of the pond with her stunning white-and-green patterned leaves. She also works hard as an air purifier, mopping up all the nasties in the air so you can breathe easy.
